I have watched Season 1, 3 & 4 with no issues what so ever. I skipped Season 1 & 2 at first since I watched them recently, then to make sure the majority was good to review I watched Season 1 with out any issues and figured Season 2 was also fine.Nothing at all was wrong with my sound, in fact it's really good. So good that I was able to hear it, when usually I have to turn my tv up half way to watch Gilmore Girls on DVD at a comfortable hearing level. I don't know what issues others are having, but that has certainly not been my experience. So I hope that you take the chance to buy this regardless, because it really is a great release. I haven't gotten into all the bonus features yet, but I did watch the interview with the co-creator and he says some interesting things in it. The quality of the video AND audio are impeccable. Sure it's not Blu-ray HD quality, neither did I expect it to be, but as a DVD it is top notch. I was leery at first to purchase this set because of negative comments about the sound quality. On my set there are absolutely no sound issues, both the dialogue and music is true to the original TV series. Watched and became attached to this show with my kids when this series ran on YTV. My twenty year olds and I now get to relive those great moments!! I highly recommend this box set!
